NOTTINGHAM TRENT UNIVERSITY - SAT 25/1/14

NOTTINGHAM TRENT UNIVERSITY ART & DESIGN DEPARTMENT - SAT 25/1/14

Ken Clarke Director from "Body Sculpture" was invited by Stephen Whalley  Commercial Manager and Richard Arm Senior Technician/Lecturer at Nottingham Trent University (NTU) to lecture for a one day Course/Demonstration on "The Art of Lifecasting" of which in the past he has also taught students on a freelance basis for many weeks over a long period for David Burrows and Val Charlton at "Wimbledon College of Art & Design"

During the course at NTU Ken would demonstrate in taking a mould from a male model and thereafter casting a plaster positive as a piece of sculpture. The day was packed with questions and answers and talks about the structure of the movie industry and the costume and special effects departments. It all went really well the students were extremely attentive and loved every minute of it. Ken has spent over 40 years in the Film & TV Industry so there was plenty to talk about and share his expertise with the students who loved to hear about the films he had worked on and the stars he had worked with.

Ken is very passionate about his work and gave the students lots of important information that would help them on their way to a new beginning  in the film Industry where he started back in 1964 at "Shepperton Film Studios" and explained the road they should take.

The feedback was excellent and Ken has now been asked to do another ongoing course there so we are delighted and very excited to return.Ken was also interviewed by the local Nottingham Magazine Left Lion and also the local Radio station.
